Yanco Delta is a proposed 1.5 GW wind farm located 10 km northwest of Jerilderie in New South Wales’s (NSW’s) South-West Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). The project, which includes up to 208 turbines and optional battery storage, was approved by NSW in late 2023 and by the Commonwealth under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act in early 2024.
Capire supported Yanco Delta Wind Farm Pty Ltd during the REZ tender submission process to the Australian Energy Market Operator. This work drew on existing technical and planning reports, interviews with key personnel, and reviews of engagement plans, feedback and reporting.
Our tailored contribution enhanced the quality and clarity of the submission, ensuring the project was well-positioned in a highly competitive process, and strengthening its pathway to approval within NSW’s evolving renewable infrastructure landscape.
