Capire delivered an engagement program to inform the proposed design of the Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment.

Twelve Apostles Visitor Experience Centre

The Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment will deliver a world-class Visitor Experience Centre and supporting infrastructure for people visiting the Shipwreck Coast. The project will provide safer and easier access to nature’s greatest attractions, while protecting the environment and cultural heritage of this spectacular site.

Capire was appointed by Development Victoria to build on extensive consultation to date and design and deliver engagement to inform the proposed design for the redevelopment.

This included supporting two community information sessions (one in-person and one online) and two targeted stakeholder briefings: one for local government and agencies; and another for tourism operators. These sessions were designed to:

  • share information about the project principles, project design and benefits
  • outline the planning process
  • demonstrate how previous engagement informed the project design
  • allow people to ask questions and share feedback.

Capire reported on the community and stakeholder feedback, which was submitted to the Minister for Planning and will also inform communications and engagement approaches during construction.
