Capire was engaged to design and facilitate two phases of community engagement to inform the development of the key reforms. The objectives of Phase One were to seek stakeholder and community views on the future management arrangements for the Great Ocean Road alongside the release of Great Ocean Road Region Issues Paper.
Phase One engagement included more than 780 face-to-face conversations, 573 written responses, 2032 visitors to the website and 21 briefings, listening posts and open house sessions. The report summarising Phase One engagement can be found here.
Following the release of the Great Ocean Road Action Plan, Capire was engaged to go back to meet with Great Ocean Road communities to ‘close the loop’ on the initial engagement undertaken and report on the outcomes of the taskforce’s report; outline the high-level actions in the Great Ocean Road Action Plan; and gather information to inform the design of future engagement for the development of the Great Ocean Road Strategic Plan. This phase of engagement included 231 face-to-face conversations, 100 written responses and 582 visitors to the website.
