Intersectionality helps us understand the ways in which different aspects of a person’s identity can lead to overlapping forms of discrimination and privilege.

In our two-part podcast series Culture, Tradition, Power, Capire’s Sarah Roberts and Abbey Mag share their personal and professional experiences, as people from marginalised groups. They discuss the consequences of labels, interrogate the word ‘diversity’, and offer some ideas on how we can all open ourselves up to new ideas, knowledge and perspectives. They also offer us some ideas on how we can make community engagement more inclusive.
