Engagement Compass Summary Report 2023

The Engagement Compass has been created to understand the state of the community engagement practice. This annual survey identifies where our industry needs to strengthen and where we should focus our collective efforts.

In March 2023, community engagement practitioners were invited to participate in the first Engagement Compass, an industry survey designed to understand trends in practice. The survey was open for four weeks, and 152 responses were received.

Respondents were from a range of sectors and locations and had a diversity of levels of experience. However, most were from Victoria, Australia, and nearly half were experienced practitioners with over ten years of professional experience.
