Meering West is a proposed 1.5 GW wind farm with 1,000 MWh of battery storage near Kerang, Victoria. Initiated by a group of local farmers who joined forces to secure an experienced renewable energy developer, the project is now being progressed in partnership with Virya Energy.
Capire has been engaged to develop and deliver the project’s engagement strategy. Our role includes supporting Virya Energy with event planning, community sessions, and communications, to ensure open, two-way dialogue with stakeholders and residents.
This approach is building strong relationships with the local community and reinforcing the project’s farmer-led origins. By embedding transparency and collaboration, Capire is helping Meering West position itself as a trusted, sustainable initiative that integrates agricultural and renewable energy goals.
