Capire is committed to making a positive impact in the communities which we work. We have adopted a comprehensive Impact Framework which guides and measures how we contribute through our operations, projects, team and general support.

We have provided pro bono, volunteer or financial support to Not-for-Profits. This has included supporting Amaze in the development of their Community Engagement Framework; providing in-country volunteer support to our partners at Diaspora Lanka; and providing financial support for young people in Timor-Leste to continue their education, via the Bendigo-Maubisse Friendship Committee.

We provide pathways for people within the community to gain skills and experience. This has included a partnership with AMES that provides a newly arrived migrant with a paid position within our team; employing young people on our projects to consult their own community; and where possible, building the skills of community ‘champions’ to deliver engagement alongside our team.

We have practices that promote and support diversity and inclusion. We have created a toolkit and approach that considers all voices within the community and provides meaningful opportunities for their participation.

We actively build our clients’ skills and knowledge. We love to work collaboratively with our clients and create opportunities to learn from each other. Our newest initiative Capire Learning Labs, are practical monthly training sessions for our current and recent clients. We recognise that building skills and understanding leads to better outcomes for communities in which work.
